Day 1: Amsterdam - Vilnius - Druskininkai You will fly with a direct flight from Amsterdam to Vilnius. The flight takes about 2,5 hours. On arrival in Vilnius you will continue your trip right away to the hotel in Druskininkai where you will stay for 2 nights. Since some of you will most probably have left early in the morning, we will have an easy day today. At the end of the day we will organise for you a traditional welcome party. |

Day 2: Druskininkai In the morning you will make your own planning. Druskininkai is the most famous health resort of Lithuania. You can indulge yourselves in one of the Spas. Should you wish a more active programme, you can take, like Čiurlionis, a walk in the surroundings and draw new inspiration. Those who are more interested in the history of Lithuania, a visit to Grutos Park situated close to Druskininkai, is certainly worth the trouble. In this park, you can find a big number of statues from the Soviet period gathered together. In the afternoon, you will visit the M.K. Čiurlionis Memorial Museum. After a one hour tour you will for the first time get acquainted with the music of Čiurlionis. |

Day 3: Druskininkai - Kaunas On the third day, you will travel from Druskininkai to Kaunas, the second city of Lithuania. After the check-in in the hotel you will have time to look around in the centre of Kaunas and to have lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Čiurlionis Art Museum. This museum cntains practically all oeuvre of Čiurlionis: paintings, graphic works, drawings, vignettes, music compositions and recordings, letters and creative writings. |

Day 4: Kaunas - Palanga Today you will first drive from Kaunas naar Plunge. In Plunge, you will visit the old palace of Prins Oginski. Čiurlionis studied here at the orchestra school. This old palace, houses today the Samogitia Art Museum. You will visit both the building and the park. After the lunch in Plunge you will continue your journy to Palanga. Palanga is the place where Čiurlionis painted his famous "Sonata of the Sea", amon many other paintings, and composed his Prelude in C major. In Palanga, you will get acquainted once again with the music of Čiurlionis. |

Day 5: Palanga Today you can make your own planning. Palanga is the most famous seaside resort of Lithuania. You can get a breath of fresh air on the beach and/or take a walk in the marvellous nature of the regional park of Palanga. Certainly worthwhile is the visit to the Amber Museum that holds the world's biggest collection of amber. Amber ("het Baltic gold") is the symbol of Lithuania. Should you wish to set out today, then a visit to Klaipeda, the third city of Lithuania, can warmly be recommended. |

Day 6: Palanga - Vilnius Today you will return in the footsteps of Čiurlionis back to Vilnius. After the check-in in the hotel you will have time for a lunch and to look around in Vilnius. In the afternoon, you will visit first the M.K. Čiurlionis' House, where you will enjoy a piano recital. After the visit to the house you will make a city tour under the guidance of a local guide. You will pay a short visit to Rasu cemetery where Čiurlionis found his last resting-place. |

Day 7: Vilnius Today you will have time to explore Vilnius further on your own. Vilnius has a beatiful old town, several fine museums, numerous impressive chruches and is a paradise for people who love to shop. At night, you will have at one of the most famous restaurants your farewell diner. |

Day 8: Vilnius - Amsterdam This morning you will fly with a direct flight back to Amsterdam. |
